New World Leaders & Old World Charm
Babcock & wilcox Canada Technical Tour
St. Jacobs, Ontario Cultural Tour

Monday, May 29 & Friday, June 2

Join industry leader Babcock & Wilcox Canada for a tour of its steam generator manufacturing facility, featuring the world's largest nuclear clean room, in Cambridge, Ontario. Following a lively presentation and tour, you'll head to the intriguing Perimeter Institute in Waterloo where some of the world's greatest minds explore theoretical physics. Then it's time to immerse yourself in the old world charm of St. Jacobs Mennonite community. You'll enjoy a presentation at the Mennonite Museum, followed by a buffet lunch and lots of time to browse in St. Jacob's many unique shops and museums.

Babcock & Wilcox Canada (www.babcock.com/bwc) is a world-leading supplier of steam generators and related equipment for the nuclear utility market, providing more than 260 steam generators to nuclear plants around the world, including every nuclear power plant in Canada. B&W Canada is also a leader in the design, erection, upgrading, and service of fossil-fuelled boilers and environmental emission-control equipment serving utility, pulp and paper, petrochemical, and industrial markets.

The Perimeter Institute (www.perimeterinstitute.ca) is a community of theoretical physicists dedicated to extending theories of space, time and matter. The Institute was established in 1999 as an international focal point for cutting-edge research in foundational theoretical physics.

The Village of St. Jacobs (www.stjacobs.com) is a unique Mennonite community featuring many historic buildings, craft and antique shops. It is also home to several interesting museums, including the Mennonite Museum, the Maple Syrup Museum, the Quilt Gallery, the Model Train Exhibit, and many other wonderful attractions.

While the return time to the Waterloo Inn is planned to have participants at the hotel by 6:00 pm, because of traffic in southern Ontario, this is a rough estimate only.  Participants wishing to fly out of Pearson International Airport on Friday (a 90 minute to 2 hour drive from Waterloo depending on traffic) should plan accordingly.

Maximum number of Participants: 50
