The deadline for poster submission applications has passed. The WiN Global 2006 Meeting is pleased to announce the following posters have been accepted for presentation. Click here for the full list

Poster sessions will take place as part of the meeting on May 30-June 1, 2006, beginning Tuesday May 30, 2006 and during Refreshment breaks.

The space for the poster sessions is limited, and a the review and approval process is required. Overall, there will be a mix of projects being showcased from various countries. Please ensure your proposal and application fits the submission guidelines below.

• Goal

The goal of the poster sessions is:

• i. To provide interesting and relevant information to meeting participants, by adding to what will be presented in the plenaries and workshops and thus enriching the experience for delegates;

• ii. To outline plans for WiN Chapters or plans to increase activity;

• iii. To provide members the opportunity to present their posters by answering questions by attendees.

2. Selection criteria

Presentations can include any of the following topics:

a) Regional WiN Chapter Plans or Programming

b) Nuclear Scientific Process

c) Nuclear Corporate Achievement

d) Public Environment Update/Program

e) Outreach training

f) Other

3. Poster Requirements

Each poster presenter will be provided with a poster panel with a display surface of 48" high and 48" wide. Pushpins will be provided to affix display materials. Copies of your posters or accompanying papers must be provided by the participants.

Please note: The limited poster presentation area will not permit any computer-based presentations. We are limited in space, time in between sessions for any changes in set-up, as well as availability and cost of electrical outlets.

4. Application Procedure

You must register for the meeting in order to present a poster. Please complete the attached Poster Presentation Application Form indicating on the form the relevance of the project to the meeting. Please also attach an abstract of the project which should include key aspects such as research design, data collection, and analysis methods as well as findings and outcomes.

Abstracts may be submitted in English. Please limit your Abstract to no more than 300 words. We encourage you to submit your Abstract electronically, either in Microsoft Word or pdf file format. All submissions are to be directed to:

The deadline for submission of the Poster Presentation Application Form and abstract is January 15, 2006 (with a decision by February 1, 2006).

Poster session participants can be conducted in concert with the international travel award for WiN Global 2006.
